This CAT A refurbishment of these London serviced offices used the Polaris 1 LED Linear luminaire to stunning effect. Workspace Group’s Vox Studios formally a Marmite factory has 72,500 feet of office, studio and workshop units with exposed steel beams and brickwork. The main reception and the restaurant area all featured Polaris 1 linear luminaires suspended within an open services ceiling creating an amazing visual impact for visitors to the centre.
The Challenge
The Workspace group are well known for their stylish offices and Vox Studios was no exception. A stunning continuous run of feature LED linear lighting was needed in the main entrance area. The 70 bespoke run of linear with 90-degree corners needed to be suspended from the exposed services ceiling. In addition to this feature LED linear luminaires standard length suspended linear was required for main area lighting on the upper floors. Both were required in a short timeframe and to a tight budget.
The Solution
Synergy immediately set about manufacturing the bespoke linear feature luminaire in several section test fitting them in our UK production facility to ensure a perfect fit when it was delivered on site. Each section was clearly labelled to detail exactly who the luminaire fitted together and where which piece goes inline with the plans. This help make the installation faster and more cost-effective for Workspace and made sure the electrical contractors undertaking the installation loved Synergy. The standard suspended main area linear lighting for the upper floors ensured a cost saving over proposed longer lengths which are less effective at lighting areas and cost more.
