The Project

JDA, Bracknell, Berkshire. More than 4,000 of the largest retailers, manufacturers, logistics companies and distributors are powered by JDA’s supply chain and retail solutions.

The Challenge

Three custom LED linear luminaires were required to make a statement in JDA’s reception and break-out space. The original designer had specified the length for the custom linear feature luminaire at 2800mm, due to the available increments with the LED boards it was extremely challenging to meet the space requirements. In addition to this recessed linear lighting is problematic as plaster tends to crack around the outer edge of the linear particularly when the luminaire is complex.

The Solution

Synergy produced CAD drawings from Area’s design and manufactured the custom luminaire to order. Using Synergy’s own in-house developed plaster-in solution the luminaire could be fitted by the ceiling team without any concerns that the plaster could crack. Alongside the custom Synergy provided Axioma recessed LED downlights to compliment the linear and create a and visually interesting space.
