The Project
Acturis’ new workspace in the heart of Hatton Garden represents a blend of innovative design and practical functionality. The project was acquired through a competitive tender process, with C&S Ltd. leading the transformation. The space, which was stripped back to its shell, underwent an extensive fit-out that created a distinctive and dynamic workspace for Acturis.
The project was delivered in two phases and spanned multiple areas within the building, including open-plan desking, a luxurious reception, meeting rooms, tea points, and private phone booth-style spaces. Other key areas included a communal dining room and a prayer room, all complemented by a bespoke joinery collection. The result is a workspace that stands out from other tenants in the building.
The Challenge
The project required precision and coordination, particularly as it involved working in secure and restrictive conditions. The fit-out was complex, involving structural alterations, a full mechanical and electrical package, and bespoke joinery. The lighting design needed to integrate seamlessly into the overall aesthetic while also meeting the specific lighting requirements of the space.
Additionally, the project demanded that the lighting fixtures complement the fine finishes and the reconfigured layout, ensuring that both form and function were aligned to support Acturis’ vision for an exceptional and distinctive workspace.
The Solution
Synergy Creativ was tasked with providing a tailored lighting solution that would complement the high-end finishes and meet the functional needs of the space. For the lighting design, custom-coloured Eclipse suspended downlights were selected, finished in RAL 5026 Pearl Night Blue to match the ceiling. These downlights not only provided high-quality illumination but also created a seamless design with the surrounding environment.
The Tetra Recessed LED Luminaires, finished in black, were chosen to integrate with the feature suspended ceiling grid, which featured mesh lay-in tiles. This combination highlighted the architectural detail of the ceiling while maintaining the sleek, modern aesthetic of the space.
To ensure even and ambient lighting across the open-plan areas, Synergy also supplied Polaris 1 LED Linear suspended and Polaris 3 recessed fixtures. These LED linear lights provided a contemporary solution to balance the natural lighting and provide consistent illumination throughout the workspace.
